About

I am Prakhar, a systems engineer in Bengaluru. I work on Nutanix’s distributed storage engine, close to C++, Linux, NVMe, performance profiles, and the uncomfortably interesting failures that appear where software meets hardware.

Before that, I studied Computer Science at IIT Guwahati. My bachelor’s thesis explored lazy random walks on monotone subsets of hypercubes; course projects took me through operating systems, compilers, shells, machine learning, and a brief detour into blockchains.

What belongs here

This site is where I want to keep the things that do not fit in a commit message: technical notes I wish I had earlier, travel stories, ordinary life updates, and essays written while an idea is still becoming clear.

Music is the other recurring thread. I play a little piano, keep changing the list of songs I am fond of, and tend to look up when there is a clear night sky. Those details explain a few of the quieter oddities around this site.
